ANTYTILA presents a somewhat ironic and candid song about that moment when you’ve grown accustomed to the idea that happiness and joy must be fought for and earned—but then a time comes when you suddenly realize that, in reality, things aren’t quite like that. Some people are afraid of being judged for showing their happiness; some are ashamed of what makes them happy; some don’t even allow themselves to be happy in small ways—because of the war, because it’s hard for everyone, because people won’t understand.
So here’s what I clearly realized on the front lines under shelling: living like that isn’t okay. No matter how hard it is, you shouldn’t put your life on hold—especially its small moments of happiness. The music video complements the song. The video was directed by Dmytro Shmurak, who has worked with the band ANTYTILA before. At the heart of the video are the raw emotions of its young characters: they fall in love, make friends, get into mischief, laugh, and live each day in the here and now without worrying about what comes next.
This contrast is the key to “OK.” The song speaks to the adult habit of doubting what’s good: looking for a catch, putting off joy, and feeling guilty for one’s own happiness. The video reminds us of a state that was natural in childhood—when a moment of happiness didn’t need to be explained to anyone or justified.
Perhaps this is exactly what we lose as we grow up: the ability to be in the moment without trying to control it.

Starting October 16, fans of the band ANTYTILA will hear the song “OK” during their new nationwide tour, “Vdoma 2.0.” The tour will cover nearly 30 cities across Ukraine. It’s a continuation of their successful spring tour of Ukraine, which concluded with three major “Vdoma” shows at the Palace of Sports.
