THE CONTEST #HELLOУКРАЇНАШУКАЄТАЛАНТИ IS OVER!

«ANTYTILA» and Ukraina TV Channel are grateful to every participant for creation and trust in their dream – to perform at the same stage with a popular Ukrainian music band.

Due to Covid-19 some changes were made in the contest rules. According to the mutual agreement of Ukraina TV Channel and the ANTYTILA band, the winners will be chosen the following way:

– On September 22, on the ANTYTILA band’s official Instagram page (@antytila_official) 10 finalists’ videos will be posted. On the same day, online voting for the winner starts. 

– On October 1, the five winners will be announced due to the online voting results and the judges’ expect opinions. These winners will be getting consulting support from the ANTYTILA band during half a year and one of them will perform on the same stage with ANTYTILA during their stadium gigs in 2021.

– On October 31, ANTYTILA will announce the winner’s name from Zaporizhia Palace of Sports stage broadcasted live on the band’s official web page which will be the band to perform at five stadiums within the Hello tour. The gigs will take place in May-June, 2021.

We present the second promo video for social and volunteer project “Travel around Ukraine” («Мандруй Україною»).

The shooting took place on the Khortytsia island in Zaporizhia starring the ANTYTILA band. «When we were proposed to go to Khortytsia, to the very heart and the spirit place of the Kozaks, it was impossible to refuse. Such bringing up in the Kozaks’ spirit is exactly what our generation needs», says the band’s leader Taras Topolia. It’s an amazing power place – go to visit Khortytsia! Travel around Ukraine!

42 grades beneath he sun, 100 scenes, more than 100 people on the location, bright steampunk-character heroes, tons (literally!) of costumes and makeup, more than 1 000 litres of water, lots of friends and like-minded fellows. Everything for the sake of showing and telling you the story! With meanings, implied senses and good music.

The shooting process was taking place during five days in the heat of forty grades in the «Олешківські піски» / «Oleshkiv Sands» desert, Kherson oblast. By the way, this national nature park is the only desert in Europe. Spesifically for the shooting ANTYTILA have set a circus town amid the sands with a real big top decorated with symbolic flags with the letter “A” and the stage. The main character was played by Taras Topolia. He had to get the feel of this part for a few months and to learn how to juggle. ANTYTILA have invited the best illusionists of Ukraine to the actor crew of the juggler, also known as famous bloggers Magic Five (М5): Dmytro Yevtushenko, Mykyta Holiev, Dmytro Tomashevskyi, Artur Tomashevskyi, Dmytro Lukoianov. This was the first collaboration of the teams.

The Steampunk style is the most complicated in cinematography, because it isn’t popular, and the atmosphere in it is created exactly by details. In the video almost one hundred costumes are presented, and not a single one is repeated. Each of them is organically bound with the type of each character. Mariana Slovianska and Hanna Cherkashyna have been working on costumes for a month and a half, as well as the actors and members of  Steampunk community in Ukraine engaged in the video with their own costumes.

Serhii Vusyk has featured as the director of the video «Кіно» (‘Movie’ / ‘Kino’) being supported and given advice in the whole process by the loyal friends, artists and directors Rostyslav Vasyliev and Oleksii Verenchyk. Cameraman – Anton Shatokhin.

The shooting production was made collectively, as usual. The inventors of idea and cast: Taras Topolia and Serhii Vusyk. Music and arrangement – Maksym Syvolap. Lyrics – Taras Topolia. 24 cars + 2 lorries + 1 truck have reached the point starting from different parts of Ukraine with petrol provided by our partner – the gas filling stations network «KLO». The story actualized in the video was created in April.

There were 5 to 6 variants of the script. The song had changed completely 3 times, there were 5 variants of lyrics; the costumes were being prepared for a month and a half; there were 5 kg of jewellery on Taras Topolia’s costume. Mechanical clocks were being bought up for the costumes.

The production took only one week. Yet, during this time we managed to cast the actors. The plot occurring again and again, from generation to generation, through thosands of years.

A story being light at first sight has a deep meaning. The story it was set upon repeats from generation to generation, through thousands of years. The whole spectrum of people’s feelings: mercy and hatred, betrayal and self-sacrifice, good and evil, rapture and contempt — everything’s like in our lives. The video is full of metaphors, allegories and symbols being always inherent for ANTYTILA’s creativity.

ANTYTILA are the first artists in Ukraine having dared to massively implement the stylistics of the Steampunk genre in a music video. About one hundred costumes, perfected up; a multi-ton circus decoration in the desert built from the ground; Taras Topolia’s drastic transformation; real tricks from Magic Five – you’ll see all these in our new video.

«I lack words to give thanks to everyone having been shot in this video. It was a small feat of every participant. 71 out of 72 scenes had been shot just during 1 day. I’d like to mark the following supporting actors especially: Mikael Avoian, Serhii Trush, Oleksandr Yudin, Nataliia Andrieieva and the extras, among which there were a lot of friends of ours and true Ukrainian steampunkers, elderly people and children having arrived from all over the country. We spent 25 hours in the desert from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. of the next day having had almost no sleep beforehand, under the burning sun. Nobody gave up, everyone completed the way from the first second to the final, there were many of those for whom the shooting experience was the first, but they did their best. During the lunch break the people were falling asleep right in the sun, and went on shooting in half an hour demonstrating no sign of fatigue. In such moments, you feel the people’s love and a greater responsibility for where you bring them.

It was a pleasure for us to work with the Magic Five team. They were showing so realistic and cool tricks that detracted the whole group from the shooting process», Taras Topolia.

«We’ve got used to complicated projects and tough shooting. But this work had challenged us despite the fact that it wasn’t the first time we were working on the verge of a human body. We’re grateful to the team having shot “Кiно” for very interesting experience – these were the first Magic Five’s tricks demonstrated in the desert, as well as for the opportunity to work with talented costume designers and MUAs – they’d created incredibly bright images for our five», Magic Five shared their impressions from working with ANTYTILA.

April 12, is the date when the HELLO album celebrates its first birthday! It’s exactly April 12, 9 pm, when the broadcast of one of the two gigs within HELLO tour in the capital city is planned on our YouTube channel. 

By the way, this album is the leader by the number of songs we've shot the most videos to in the history of the band - 7/10!

During the broadcast of our gig on YouTube on Sunday quarantine evening, everyone who's eager to are going to have the opportunity to communicate freely with the whole team of ANTYTILA in the chat of the stream for the first time, both with the musicians and management of the band for 2 full hours.

All the members of the band will be in the chat with their real names. Moreover, until the end of quarantine we’ll be sharing a series of unknown facts about very well-known events in the life of the ANTYTILA band having happened for the last 10 years. What really happened? How much did it cost? Which unexpected circumstances emerged? How did the band solve them and how was that made up?! That’s what everyone’s interested in, isn’t it? We’re ready to tell it sincerely.

What was happening backstage of the Palace of Sports in the capital city?

Just thirty minutes before the most crucial gig with an accurate schedule of going on-air at M1 TV channel planned up to a single second, with 10 thousand fans already awaiting for the start at that moment, with almost a year’s preparation of the show where every detail was got right, and with a stage of ₴1 million cost the performance trousers couldn’t be found for the lead singer. For a number of reasons, the ordered performance suits were made on the very day of the gig. “Nothing foretold troubles”, nobody had had a single thought to take other extra clothes or check the suits in the afternoon. Everyone had a bunch of other more important stuff. And here it is, 30 minutes till going to the stage, the fans are heard clapping their hands, and the musicians meanwhile understand that they do look better without any fine blue trousers on than dressed in them. Mykhailo Chyrko was doing another lap around the table, because he was the one responsible for those trousers. The silence was hung in the air. Every occasional person entering the dressing room received their serving of mood «for the trousers» – Serhii kept thinking.

25 minutes till the start of the gig. The musicians have made a joint crisis decision. Actually, the only one possible until today – the only one you can rely on is yourself and your own efforts. Dmytro Vodovozov springs onto a unicycle and takes off to a neighboring trade center Gulliver to get new trousers for Taras. In fact, you can’t start the gig without a drummer, but live broadcast also won’t hang around and is up to start straight at 8 p.m. It’s a day off, plenty of people outside, and a trade center in Ukraine is “almost empty” as usual.

13 minutes before the start. The message in the group chat that the trousers were bought with a photo proof received.

8 minutes before the start. Dmytro flies into the dressing roome like a warrior on a unicycle holding the trousers. The overall stage image has already been remade. There are only 2 blue jackets left out of 5 suits. Serhii has put on Zholud’s black stretches. Having stopped half-turn by the table and having calmed dowm Mykhailo put on his bass guitar smiling.

2 minutes till the start. The band’s behind the curtains. The news that we had the trousers flew through all the organizers’ radios.

The directors are counting down. And we start!

– More than 200 people had been working on the gig apart from 200 more volunteers.

– The overall number of people in the hall having scanned their tickets apart from the children under 8 years old accounts for 9 783 people according to the data given by the ticket operators. And the Palace of Sports could have fit more. The myth on its capacity was shattered.

– The overall cost of the gig was more than ₴2 000 000.

– The first Palace of Sports had been sold out almost with no advertising 2 months before the gig date.

– In this gig video there is no sound correction. The performance is exactly the same as it was on the gig.

– Taras sang 2 gigs ahead, 2.5 hours each with fragile voice after a severe angina.

– Dmytro Zholud used Camper 2.0 for the first time to process the sound with fully recorded Midi commands to every part of every song. And all these ;ive with no opportunity to test the device’s behavior and previously recorded commands beforehand under rehearsal or gig conditions.

– Dimchyk has gained the title of the band’s rescuer for the feat with unicycle. Winter tires were suggested for the unicycle.

– ANTYTILA keep working with their favorite seamstress Kateryna, but Mykhailo does everything in advance now. Fitting is never put on the last day.

COVID 19. HELLO 2020 TOUR RESCHEDULED

Dear friends, according to the quarantine announced in Ukraine and following the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine № 211 dated March 11, 2020, we are obliged to reschedule some of the March gigs to April.

We're asking you to stay at home. Follow quarantine demands. Take care of yourselves and people important to you.
This will exactly be the thing bringing us closer to the moment we'll meet with you. The tickets remain valid.

The show “Hello 2020” is guaranteed to take place in all the announced Ukrainian towns and cities but some of them on other dates! No cancellations! Let's fight coronavirus together!) We're bringing you Antibodies!

In the public offer posted on the websites of ticket operators, the exemption of the Parties from liabilities for partial or total non-compliance with commitments to this Offer is provided for, if such non-compliance has become the consequence of force majeure, which means exceptional and unavoidable circumstances having occurred against the will of the Parties and the ones they could not prevent, avoid or foresee. The force majeure circumstances include: natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, fires, etc.), social life circumstances (combat actions, states of emergency, explosions, strikes, civil strifes and protests, epidemics, including the restrictions related to COVID-19 risks, and/or other viruses), actions and decisions of government authorities including the decisions for counteracting the virus COVID-19 and/or other viruses, prohibitory events by state bodies (transportation prohibiting, exchange control, international sanctions of sales prohibiting, etc.), failures in telecommunication and energy networks. In the course of this period, the Parties do not have any mutual claims, and each Party takes its risks of the consequences of force majeure circumstances. Thus, neither the Agent, which is a ticket operator, nor the buyer has mutual claims to each other during a force majeure circumstances period.

However, to relieve the pressure, and to prove the status of a client-oriented company, the ticket operators together with Artists and Organizers of the events, holding which was planned for the period from 12/03/2020 to 31/03/2020, and for which the tickets were sold, are doing everything possible so that the buyers would not lose their costs and would get the desired – visiting the awaited events. Now, with joint efforts of the Agent and the Organizers, the organization of the events rescheduling to other dates is occurring.

ANTYTILA do not waive providing their services and suffer the same financial losses and inconveniences. Returning the tickets also puts additional fee on the artist being charged from them by a ticket operator when returning. So, considering the losses from advertising as well as the other organizational aspects, considering that the quarantine in the state is force majeure circumstances, a compromise decision was made for all the parties of the market, and with additional risk for the artist, - to conduct a rescheduling of some gigs saving the validity of the tickets already bought without the possibility of returning.

Important thing! The gig in Cherkasy March 23 was rescheduled to 8 p.m. April 8.

The gig in Cherkasy March 24 was rescheduled to 5 p.m. April 8.

The gigs in Europe were cancelled due to quarantine for unspecified period of time. The new dates of the gigs in Poland and Czech Republic will be announced later together with the announcement of North-American tour across the USA and Canada. The estimated time of holding the gigs – fall 2020.

THE ANTYTILA BAND HAVE PRESENTED THE FIRST VINYL IN THEIR DISCOGRAPHY

The «Hello» album has been fully produced by the ANTYTILA band. The mastering having been made especially for the vinyl was what the band traditionally prepared very carefully in the Bobina Records studio led by Dmytro Khomulko.

The LP has been edited in Italy at the special request. True appraisers gonna evaluate ultrawhite color of the LP and its weight of 180 g. This was the weight the band preferred, 'cause it's the category of «heavy vinyl», and it is the most steady to damage. The cover of the album has a gatefold format, or which is also called, unfolded envelope. Having unfolded it, the listener can feel the atmosphere of the ANTYTILA's stadium gigs. The thing is, the album was initially written for live performance in front of dozens of thousands of people open-air. The Hello album on vinyl has been released with an edition of only 250 copies, that is why those who are eager to become its owner have to hurry up. 

«I could have said that it's been my childish dream to release an LP, but it hasn't been like that. I'm not gonna be cunning. We've decided to release the «Hello» album in such format, because the vinyl's coming back, and it's interesting today for lots of collectors as well as our fans having asked us to release an album exactly in such format not a single time», commented Taras Topolia.

Vinyl is a logical sequence of a massive «Hello» story from the ANTYTILA band. Hello is the sixth CD in the band's discography. It consists of 10 tracks, most of which have already become people's hits. The album was presented on April 14, 2019. These days, the tour in support of it is going on. It started in May 2019, and gathered 80 thousand of fans at the stadiums and in two Palaces of Sports in the capital city. This year, the tour is going to cover more than 50 cities and towns of Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, the USA and Canada.
And the gigs are going to take place in different venues: from the halls of thousand spectators to stadiums.
