Ed Sheeran and the ANTYTILA band present collaboration – a remake of the track 2Step from the last album of the British artist where Taras Topolia sings in Ukrainian. An official music video has been released on the band’s YouTube channel. Impressive scenes of wartime and a moving personal story of Taras Topolia – all these are embodied in the video.

«Ed’s offer to work together is the expression of that real support to Ukraine being demonstrated by the people of Great Britain during this war. Millions of people show how it is to stand for your principles, democracy and freedom for real not only with words but with exact actions and give their shoulder to those who need it for sure. It would seem a simple collaboration, but it’s so symbolically.

It appeared to be quite difficult to compose and record the Ukrainian lyrics to Ed’s song in those circumstances we experienced then. Beyond that, the Bobina Records studio where we usually recorded our own songs was under occupation of russian freaks. But thanks to Maksym Syvolap, a friend of ours and an unchangeable co-author and arranger of many songs, we coped with our part», tells Taras Topolia.

In Ukrainian lyrics of the song 2Step, Taras Topolia is telling his own story of how the war began for his family. And it’s not only his personal story, it’s a story of millions of Ukrainians whose families were broken apart by dreadful bombings and the war.

The shooting took place in Irpin, Kyiv, and Kharkiv region where the musicians of the ANTYTILA band had come as part of the battalion 130 of the Territorial Defense to strengthen the eastern grouping of land forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What about the idea of the video, it traditionally belongs to Taras Topolia.

ANTYTILA mention that they devote this video to the memory of a Ukrainian director Dmytro Manifest whose life was cut short too early.

The video was directed and produced by a friend of Dmytro Manifest Dmytro Shmurak. Together with his team, he managed to realize everything being supposed to in the shortest possible time, professionally and faultlessly, understanding that the ANTYTILA band wouldn’t be able to join the shooting fully.

«There are people eager to follow you through hell and high water. It was exactly my friendship with Manifest having helped me understand that doing anything with half efforts is senseless. Life is very rebellious, and that’s why when ANTYTILA had asked me to support them and actually be a producer and shoot the video on my own, I agreed immediately, though I understood it was a very complicated task. Together with my team we tried to do our best so that the work would be successful. If Dima were alive, he would have definitely been together with us at the filming location. There’s the only thing I’d like to address to the guys: come back alive!» shares his thoughts Dmytro Shmurak.

Recall that the ANTYTILA band have joined the Territorial Defense prior to the war. And since the first day of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation the members of the band have swapped their musical instruments into guns and went to defend the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine. For the moment, the musicians are located in Kharkiv region together with their battalion.

They have been demolishing our people, our land, our culture, and our statehood through centuries.

ANTYTILA were preparing the new album feeling the irreversibility of horrible events which was aimed to inspire and support Ukrainian people, to raise Ukrainian culture in the world.

ANTYTILA have decided to join the forces of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We follow the tradition of massive stadium gigs «Hello» and announce a new tour devoted to the upcoming album – MLNL (Millennials).

This February, ANTYTILA are presenting the seventh studio album – MLNL (Millennials).

ANTYTILA and Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk have lived a lifetime in shot. A loud premiere from the ANTYTILA band. After a dancelike song «Маскарад» (‘Masquerade’) still ranked on the first lines in radio hit-parades and gaining millions of views on YouTube, ANTYTILA present a lyrical song. As usual, with a philosophical context.

The song about the path of life and internal power to fulfil your dreams with a motivational name «Стань» (‘And You Start’).
The ANTYTILA band and one of the world’s strongest athletes – Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk – are in shot.

This time, the main part in the video has been performed by a sportswoman, multiple champion of Ukraine the champion of Europe, the awardee of the World Championship, a participant of the 2016 and 2021 Olympic Games – Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk.
«When we agreed upon the idea of the video, we started to look for the main female-character.
It happened like that, we decided it should be a girl. We’ve familiarized with all the sportswomen in the field of athletics, then we’ve even thought of female footballers, but when we saw Maryna, we understood, she was meant to be our character. We have read dozens of interviews, watched the recordings of sporting competitions, researches social media.
And you know what, we haven’t been out of pocket. Maryna has made it wonderful. She came to the shooting location from another competition in Austria, fitting her tight schedule», tells the producer of the band Serhii Vusyk.

«Maryna is the essence of beauty, amazing strength and persistency. Notably, she is very easy to communicate with and extroverted.
And, to our mind, she looks amazing in shot.
You can make sure of it yourselves if you watch the video. What is more, we were surprised with the way how they support one another with her husband Mykhailo, an awardee of the Olympics, the champion of Europe in swimming, and the world record-holder. It’s possible to feel love between them, both of them have overcome a tough way to success and are aware of the price of the victories», tells Taras Topolia.

«When the manager of the ANTYTILA band Serhii Vusyk called me and offered to take part in shooting of the video I doubted considerably at first. It was a complicated period after the Olympiad, my thoughts were filled with completely different things. But when I heard the idea, saw a shot breakdown for the video, and took my parents’ advice, I agreed. It was an absolutely new experience, I can even compare it to cine-shooting as in the end we have a mini-movie. Also my beloved person was present at the shooting area all the time which helped me a lot».

The shooting took place for 48 hours. Everything happened in Kyiv, in an athletic arena located at Berezniaky. ANTYTILA have fully modified a sports arena having applied thousands of square meters of black cloth used to cover the perimeter of the arena from sunlight. To get a desired view, a few tons of light equipment was hung and two trucks of filming equipment were brought.

Apart from Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk, the friends of the ANTYTILA band can be seen in the frame. There are real sportsmen among them – marathon runners from the KMRC club, IT specialists, lawyers, businessmen having one more favorite thing except their jobs – sport. For most of them this shooting is the first in their lives.

After having shot the video, it took 2 more months to work out the graphics undertaken by the best post-production team of the country “Headshot studio”.
Everything was to achieve the desired visual effect.

«The song was created more than a year ago, it was recorded at the studio quite long ago, but we needed some more time for video-realization of the idea underlying in this song. When writing the song we were inspired by the atmosphere of school prom nights when boys and girls confess their love to each other, swear to be friends for eternity, set goals, and believe in their dreams, when all this is sincere, with no falsehood.

Later the idea of the video emerged. The running tracks were appearing in thoughts displaying the road of life, a large space where every single person is running along their track to their goals. In the course of getting ready, we understood that we needed a massive view where it would be possible to depict the flow of life and people in it with their own desires, dreams, and «crosses that some of them carry on their shoulders». We’re sure, everyone will be able to recognize themselves or somebody from their surrounding in particular frames. The video has also got quite an unexpected ending: actually, the story of the video begins in its end. And if you drown into the video even more, you understand that it has neither the beginning nor the ending. And, as usual, there are some hidden secrets, Easter eggs, from ANTYTILA», tells Taras Topolia.

«Стань» (‘And You Start’) is the third song from the upcoming album, the premiere of which ANTYTILA have planned for the beginning of the year 2022. After releasing the album, ANTYTILA are going to set off to stadium tour being about to present an absolutely new show and a new album. The first gig has been planned for May 2022 in Dnipro city. The musicians have also finished the Hello tour successfully that was started as far ago as the year 2020.

МАСКАРАД (‘MASQUERADE’) – PREMIERE

The production of the shooting took only one week. However, during this time the actors were chosen, and ANTYTILA present a new massive video! Probably, with new Ukrainian record in the number of people in shot of the music video at a time. More than five hundred people in shot as zombie-characters, hundreds of costumes, kilograms of make-up and professional dancing. Starring Taras Topolia, musicians of the ANTYTILA band and people’s artist of Ukraine Nazar Zadniprovskyi.

The production of the shooting took only one week. However, during this time the actors and location were chosen, the costumes were created, and the shooting crew gathered together. Preparing the location itself took 24 hours. The shooting process took 23 hours, and a part of the crew and actors spent awake 2 days. On the location, mostly worked the same crew as with the video “Кіно”. Among the main zombie-characters a people’s artist of Ukraine Nazar Zadniprovskyi could also be seen; he’s also a sincere fan of the band. «After a small pause in the course of which we have almost finished studio work with our new album, we present a new song and a new video.

“Маскарад” (‘Masquerade’) is a farcical play and irony towards ourselves and what’s happening around us. Musicians have an opportunity to talk to people using metaphors and images and convey senses at the level of perception. This song is exactly such case, and as it always happens with ANTYTILA, it’s not without sense. I’m sure, the track will become the adornment of the summer season, Ukraine’s gonna sing and dance to it” – says Taras Topolia.

For taking part in extras, there were professional actors, fans coming from different parts of Ukraine, responding to the band’s call, and a people’s artist of Ukraine Nazar Zadniprovskyi had changed his shooting schedule on purpose to play the main part. «I’m patriotic to the ANTYTILA band. For them and for this song I wasn’t sorry to postpone the other shootings.

I had listened to the song carefully, I pondered upon the lyrics, and I sincerely wish the guys a good premiere and ratings, because the song is wise, it’s critical, and it’s topical more than ever now. Somebody’s going to perceive it just as a cool dancelike song, and somebody’s gonna have a deeper understanding», tells a people’s artist of Ukraine Nazar Zadniprovskyi.

The artists share with us that it had taken them very long to choose the track for release. After numerous discussions in the studio, chats, and on tour, the decision was made in favor of the song «Маскарад», because there is everything in it being important to be told and sung to people exactly today. The song “Маскарад” is going to sound live exclusively for the first time at the main stage of the Atlas Weekend festival July 9.

Taras Topolia’s celebrating his birthday as well as ANTYTILA who are 13 years old! Yes, there are two holidays on one day!

Not many and not little but we confidently move forward, bring our creativity through generations, experiment every time, and set new challenges!

But the only thing remains unchanged – we are sincere to ourselves and our fans. Always! Our music is about life and people, about the things we’re going through together with millions of citizens.

We’ve got a couple of important messages for our fans.
The Cabinet of Ministers have prolongated the emergency situation regimen because of the coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine until June 30. The whole regions in Ukraine are still in the red zone and within the state of total or partial lockdown.
During the period when COVID-19 has put all of us into quarantine we have a full understanding that massive gigs at big venues and stadiums will promote the spread of coronavirus. Because these are thousands of people gathered together at the same place and at the same time. 
Adults, kids, elderly people.
We don’t want this.
Having assessed all the risks we have made a decision to POSTPONE ALL STADIUM GIGS to the year 2022. 
This means that the Hello show is going to transform into a more massive project which we are starting to prepare and implement already now.
We still guarantee the best light show and worldclass sound, and we are looking forward to our meeting in NON-QUARANTINE 2022. 
Currently the matter of health and safety of the Ukrainians is our number one concern.
But we have good news too! 
The gigs planned in smaller region and administrative centers’ venues are going to take place this year as soon as the situation lets us do that.
With social distancing, 50% of the seats and all the quarantine limitations.
We are going to give a part of the gigs in summer, and the other one – in autumn.

ANTYTILA are bringing the album Hello live including the songs having been loved by the whole state: «Вірила» (‘Viryla’ / ‘You to believe’), «TDME», «Лови момент» (‘Lovy moment’ / ‘Seize the moment’), «Буде син» (‘Bude syn” / ‘Gonna have a son’). The song «Кіно» (‘Kino’ / ‘Movie’) is going to be sung at the gigs, as well as the favourite ones from the previous albums: «Танцюй» (‘Tantsiui’ / ‘Dance’), «Все красиво» (‘Vse krasyvo’ / ‘Everything’s lovely’), «БудуВуду» (‘Buduvudu’), «Люди, як кораблі» (‘Liudy yak korabli’ / ‘People are like the ships’) and others.

The gig format remains unchanged by now: stadium stage adapted to each concert venue, enormous screens, light show and the best sound in Ukraine. 2 hours of quality live music, 50 % of the seats, 2 gigs a day following all quarantine limitations. All the tickets bought beforehand remain valid.

The pandemic has made adjustments in the band’s tour schedule, but ANTYTILA is one of the few artists renewing their gig activity.

«We continue the tour devoted to the album «Hello» and set off for its final part. Recall that the first gig took place at Lviv Arena in May, 2019, almost 2 years have passed, and the album «Hello» has been heard by the whole state, but there still remain the towns and cities we hadn’t reached. For example, in Dnipro our solo gig took place approximately 3 years ago, and we know that we are awaited there, we can’t leave out this city. And some fans have held their tickets for the gig for more than 1.5 years. These will be the last gigs in such format. In the final part of the tour we would like to cover as many towns and cities as possible so that no letter or call from our fans eager to see the Hello show live remained unnoticed. We already have new songs having lain at the studio. Also two artists are going to perform together with us at the stadiums. We have completed the contest «Hello Ukraine’s searching for the talents» and discovered new young musicians for us who are given an opportunity to perform together with us at the stadiums.

Recall that «Hello» is the eighth tour by the ANTYTILA band taking place in favor of the so named album. It began on May 25, 2019, from Lviv Arena (Lviv city). Sold-outs and eighty thousand of fans having sung together with the band at the stadiums and twice in the capital city’s Palace of Sports have inspired ANTYTILA to continue a successful tour. In winter and spring 2020, ANTYTILA visited more than 20 towns and cities of Ukraine and put the tour on pause in the Palace of Sports in Kharkiv because of the pandemic.

Dear friends, due to quarantine announced in Ukraine and completing the decree of the Cabinet of Munisters of Ukraine № 211 from March 11, 2020, we have to postpone a number of our gigs to other dates. The ANTYTILA band go on their successful tour «Hello» across Ukraine. Stadium sold-outs and two Palaces of Sports in the capital city ahead - this is how its first part passed in 2019. Eighty thousands of fans have already sung the songs from the new album in favor of which the tour takes place in unison with ANTYTILA. The time has come for the whole country to see and hear the show «Hello»!

At the gig in the Palace of Sports, ANTYTILA have announced the second half of the big tour. From West to East, from theaters to stadiums, from district towns to million-dwellers cities. In the venues of the state, the band are going to present two-hours long music program with hits from the new album like «TDME», «Вірила» ('Viryla' / 'You to believe'), «Лови момент» ('Lovy moment' / 'Seize the moment') and the previous ones: «Все красиво» ('Vse krasyvo' / 'Everything's lovely'), «Люди, як кораблі» ('Liudy yak korabli' / 'People are like the ships'), «БудуВуду» ('Buduvudu') and others. As an addition - the atmosphere of special effects, light and cutting-edge world class live sound. Because these are exactly ANTYTILA who have presented the best stage equipment at their gigs in Ukraine having gained the highest world awards at the music exhibition in the USA in 2018. An exclusive stadium stage in the shape of semicircle and weighing 68 tons will be adapted to all tour concert venues so that the fans in every town or city could plunge into ANTYTILA's music world, feel their energy fully, and become a part of the live-show «Hello».

The tour «Hello» began May 25, 2019, from «Lviv Arena» in favor of the album of the same name. Stadium gigs took place in Lviv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odesa, and Kyiv.
